Winter Break Reading List

Just received all these books in the mail today. Going to try to read at least two or three over winter break! Definitely starting with Nutition and Physical Degeneration. Have any of you read these books? Which should I read second?

  1. Nutrition and Physical Degeneration. Read it twice. The mother of all nutri-books, outstanding work, there’s nothing more to say! If you don’t have enough time, simply skip Taubes. I can tell you the content: Carbs are bad.

  2. ive read Nora’s book. the other 4 are on my list. I have read in the past 3 months: Paleolithic Prescription (Boyd Eaton), Paleo Diet (Cordain), Primal BluePrint (Sisson), The Vegetarian Myth (Lierre Kieth), The Second Brain (Micheal Gershon), Catching a Fire (Richard Wrangham), Guns, Germs and Steel (Jared Diamond), Wheat Belly (William Davis)

Now reading: New Evolution Diet (Art DeVanny) and 1491 (Charles C Man)

Continually Referring to: On Food and Cooking and Keys to Good Cooking (Harold McGee) – Make it Paleo (Staley-Mason)

My current Read List is longer than my intestines..

But Nora’s book will always hold a special place in my heart b/c it was the book that got me into Paleo..

  3. I haven’t read Meat or Good Calories, Bad Calories. I read Why We Get Fat. That was good. It certainly made me want to read/learn more. I have read the other books in the photo and loved them all. My vote for your next read would be Deep Nutrition. It’s really, really good. I also enjoyed Wheat Belly. It’s along the same lines as Good Calories, Bad Calories and Why We Get Fat.

  4. You know we highly, highly recommend Good Calories, Bad Calories and Primal Body, Primal Mind. For the middle of your break, I might go for Primal Body, Primal Mind. It has a unique and important slant. But I’d love to hear what you think!
