Where It Started
Berrion shares that her journey began in 2019 during a podcast interview with a friend who said that periods aren’t supposed to be painful. It was a revelation to her at that time, and it was that moment that inspired her to help people who struggled with painful periods. She started by exploring natural healing methods for menstrual health, which she put into practice herself, and eventually led her to experience pain-free periods. Since then, she’s been passionately leading the way helping others achieve pain-free periods and natural methods for women’s health and cycles.
Your Period is Your Best Friend
You have relationships with everything in your life, and the one you have with your body is one of the most important. Berrion shares that she used to have really painful periods too, but over time she learned to accept her connection with her body, especially her relationship with her menstrual cycle. She even says that her period is her best friend because it serves as a reminder for her to slow down.
Your menstrual cycle also tells you a lot about your overall health, which is why Berrion wants you to redefine your view of periods. She makes the science behind your hormones simple and practical for daily life. Instead of sticking to the narrative of inconvenience, she encourages you to feel more empowered and use that knowledge to help you improve your overall well-being.
How to Cycle Sync as an Entrepreneur
Berrion talks about how to utilize your menstrual cycle for entrepreneurship and overall performance. She gives her three main tips:
- Treat your cycle as a blueprint to align your work flow with your energy flow. It’s important to be mindful of aligning the two since there will naturally be ups and downs.
- Mark your period on your calendar. This makes it easier to track your cycle and be more familiar with it.
- Align your Google calendar with said work flow and energy flow.
She further explains how to best use your energy levels based on the four phases of the menstrual cycle and the simple science behind it:
- Menstruation (period phase): Low energy, best for ideation and setting goals.
- Follicular Phase (after period): Rising energy, ideal for creation and strategic planning.
- Ovulatory Phase (fertile window): High energy, perfect for executing tasks and communicating.
- Luteal Phase (pre-period): Lower energy, a good time for evaluating, analyzing, and reflecting on your progress.
